Design

Martin Landscaping employs a full time landscape designer who oversees planning and construction. Customers will deal with the same designer from the start of the plan all the way through completion of the installation. This helps to prevent confusion and allows for a one on one relationship with our clients.

 

About the Designer

The designer at Martin Landscaping has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University. Prior to joining the Martin Landscaping team the designer worked for a firm in Chicago and was part of a team that completed designs for several parks, municipal open spaces and commercial areas. This past experience helps to provide our customers with unique and well-thought designs that suit their individual needs.

 

The Design Process

When you choose to pursue a design with Martin Landscaping the landscape designer will come to your home and meet with you to gather any ideas you may have. The designer will then take measurements and photographs of the desired area or areas that the plan will address. After taking measurements and assessing the site the designer will hand sketch the design to gain a general idea of what the finished product should look like. After fine tuning the hand sketched design it will be entered into the computer so the measurements and quantities determined are exact. The final product will be a computer generated scaled drawing for you to review prior to construction.
