Martin Landscaping & Landscape Center

Serving Northwest Indiana since 1981

Design Process

Martin Landscaping employs a full time landscape architect who oversees planning and construction. Customers will deal with the same architect from the start of the plan all the way through completion of the installation. This helps to prevent confusion and allows for a one on one relationship with our clients.

About Our Landscape Architect

Our Registered Landscape Architect is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture. During his 30 plus year career, he has designed and supervised many major commercial projects as well as hundreds of residential landscapes.

He is licensed in the State of Indiana to practice Landscape Architecture, is a Indiana Master Horticulturalist and is also a Master Gardener through Purdue University Cooperative Extension program. He has also had many landscape design/build articles published, with the latest being in the May/June 2012 issue of Indiana Gardening Magazine.

Let our Landscape Architect bring this vast depth of experience to your project by designing a landscape that will exceed your expectations.

The Design Process

When you choose to pursue a design with Martin Landscaping the landscape architect will come to your home and meet with you to gather any ideas you may have. The architect will then take measurements and photographs of the desired area or areas that the plan will address. After taking measurements and assessing the site the architect will hand sketch the design to gain a general idea of what the finished product should look like. After fine tuning the hand sketched design it will be entered into the computer so the measurements and quantities determined are exact. The final product will be a computer generated scaled drawing for you to review prior to construction. We invite you to view some Sample Plans that were done in previous seasons so you can gather a better idea of what yours will look like.
